Your future role
We are seeking a motivated and well‑organized Application Design Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset. You are driven to deliver high‑quality results to stakeholders in a structured and predictable manner. You will join an experienced, diverse team that values knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Alstom’s Digital and Integrated Systems is a global leader in rail control and signalling solutions, enabling the safe and efficient operation of rail networks and train services.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to deliver accurate and timely application designs, as well as to implement, test, and deliver site data for the Traffic Management System. You will also monitor and control signals, switches, track circuits, and train movements using traffic operations tools. The position offers strong opportunities for learning and development within a supportive team environment.
We'll look to you for:
- Ensure configuration management of project data
- Provide feedback to input data producers
- Contribute to tender and offer activities
- Participate in customer meetings
- Take part in commissioning activities (approximately three trips per year)
- Deliver training to site technicians and operators
About you
We value motivation, curiosity, and attitude as much as experience. To succeed in this role, you bring:
- A BSc in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Knowledge of railway signalling systems
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- A structured, detail‑oriented, and proactive approach
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Clear communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Willingness to travel and participate in commissioning activities
This position is classified under security regulations. Employment is subject to a security clearance. Swedish or EU citizenship is required.
