The Alstom Finance function has four fundamental missions:

  • As a business partner, contribute to the achievement of the Group global objectives and value creation in terms of cash generation, profitability, risk control and project execution; notably through adequate performance management processes.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information through structured and efficient information systems to support management decision processes and the presentation of accounts.
  • As the guardian of the rules, enhance internal control by ensuring proper compliance with internal and external regulations and promotion of clear and efficient processes and instructions.
  • Manage the finance community by attracting, developing, retaining and engaging overall finance teams.

The Financial Analyst will be a member of the Management Control Team at the heart of Alstom’s central Finance departments.


You will hold a key role in coordinating numerous actors within the organization: Finance departments (Consolidation, Regions Analysts, R&D, Tax, Operation) as well as non-Finance functions (Commercials, HR…) all taking part to Alstom’s Management system and to the achievement of objectives.


In details you will be requested to



  • Extract  and Analyse actual, budget and forecast KPIs from the financial systems
  • Controlling the quality / reliability of reported data to ensure a solid basis for decision making
  • Provide ad hoc analysis on KPIs on Profit and Loss  including : Sales, Cost of Sales, R&D, Selling and Administrative // Backlog & New Orders
  • Assemble presentations for senior management
  • Prepare supporting documentation for management decision
  • Contribute to the improvement of SAP and Business Intelligence tools to optimize efficiency and reliability. 
  • Support regional finance organization to ensure common understanding of processes, to control their application and actively contribute to their improvement

Capacity to handle multiple tasks, to manage priorities and tight deadlines

Business School

You are currently studying in Accounting, Finance or Business



Good level in French and English, spoken and written.
