Purpose of the job:


The Green Mobility Innovation (GMI) business nursery executes programs for developing new business from acceleration to commercialization phase. On top GMI is supporting Regions & product lines with End-to-end analysis of Environmental aspects and TCO for complete mobility systems, typically comparing different solutions with TCO evaluation etc.

The Mobility System Analyst do execute studies and analysis for example for

  • TCO and Environmental impact of Alternative power supplies solutions (Electrification vs. Battery trains vs. Hydrogen or eFuels)
  • Market trends and competitor landscape re energy, emissions and circular economy 

 

For this a Mobility System analyst is typically performing

  • Plan and coordinate the work for several projects
  • Plan project work for the own and other contributors work (Deliverables, time, efforts)
  • Do desk research & data collection with Alstom Product lines and regions, authorities, planners, customers, consultants
  • Prepare and perform Mobility System calculations & simulations (eg. Total cost of owernship, Envorinmentatl impact, etc.)
  • Analyse and investigate data, synthesise scenario evaluation and benchmarks, perform TCO optimization
  • Prepare and lead studies by consultants
  • Prepare reports and presentations
  • Support pre-tender and tender projects with application specific analysis
  • Presenting and promoting to customers and other key market stakeholders.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Prepare and execute analyst tasks and projects, such as e.g. (not limited to)
    • TCO analysis and benchmark for different rail and road transport technologies and solutions, for passengers and freight
    • CAPEX/OPEX optimizing, for rolling stock and infrastructure
    • Analysis of simulation results for identification of potential technical solutions, including defining requirements for new or adapted components/systems
    • Environmental impact analysis (CO2, Eco Footprint, …)
  • Contribute to develop business objectives derived from conclusions of the analysis      
  • Report and promote results to internal and external audiences
  • Contribute to competency development, with own internal and external network

 

Performance measurements:

  • High quality deliverables for business nursery projects (analysis, calculations, value proposition design, customer presentations marketing kits…)

 

DESIRED PROFILE : 

  • Technical University diploma (Engineering degree)
  • Familiarity with railway operations, passenger or freight
  • Fluent in English and notions of French
  • Knowledge of Alstom and competitor’s mobility solutions and technologies
  • Familiarity with TCO analysis
  • Experience in energy management evaluations
  • Familiar with simulation tools, with ability to analyze and criticize results
  • Key knowledge areas: internal processes, R&D roadmap, innovation
