Within a dynamic and collaborative HR team, and under the responsibility of the Engineering HR business partner, they are responsible for providing HR support to the Engineering function, ensuring compliance with the company, to the deployment of Alstom's HR initiatives and to ensure that managers develop their human relations skills to take care of their teams. That is also a key player in promoting Alstom's values of Agility, Inclusion and Responsibility.

 

Main Responsibilities


Counselling Business on HR topics:

  • Be proximate to the business – both line managers and employees, in order to understand their issues and prepare HR actions to address them
  • Understand and prioritise business needs, and translate them into HR actions, and then deliver
  • Implement Business / Corporate/Group HR strategy as applies to the Region / Globally 
  • Ensure that all policy and rules are followed
  • Advice, support and influence management on all HR related issues, policies and processes
  • Deliver day to day operational support (People process, data accuracy, etc.)

 

Recruitment:

  • Coordinate recruitment activities for the Engineering group in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team
  • With Talent Acquisition team, build a good base for sourcing of candidates, including internal candidates, and build relations with recruitment agencies
  • Makes sure the process of induction and probationary period is well performed

 

International Mobility:

  • Coordinate international mobility activities for the Engineering group in collaboration with the International Mobility team
  • Be the central point for the international mobility activities for the employees, managers, International Mobility team and the vendors
  • Ensure internal and external equity within the process

 

Total Rewards:

  • Support implementation of annual salary review and STI/bonus payments 
  • In collaboration with the Compensation team, make salary proposals for new hires and promotions 
  • Ensure internal and external equity within the process
  • Highlight any compensation and benefits issues 


Development:

  • Build managers’ ownership of the management of their people, including coaching
  • Support the annual People Review, including development plans and ensure feedback to individuals
  • Support the development activities appropriate to each individual
  • Support the training programs, and measure their efficiency


Experience & Competencies Required

  • University degree, majoring in human resources
  • 3 years HR experience in a similar industry/environment
  • Generalist HR management experience covering all areas of HR management practice. 
  • Influence and resilience within a matrix organization structure
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
