In the position of Bogie development manager, you will be in charge of mechanical designers and engineers within Bogie Engineering Organisation of the based St-Bruno (Quebec) engineering development site. The Key mission will be to ensure management and technical governance of the team in line with the platforms and projects requirements and ensure the technical directions quality of his product line


You will evolve in a challenging environment, supporting multiple on-going railway projects throughout the world.


Main Responsibilities

  • Manages his team sharing his vision and ensuring team planning, organization, management and control (workload, budget and deliverables follow-up, etc.)
  • Develops and ensures the durability of his team expertise and skills through the management of development and training plans for his resources
  • Responsible for the delivery of technical files for the development of R&D businesses and projects
  • Gives directions, ideas of technical solutions to the PrEM and Designers (selection of calculations, materials, tests)
  • Leads and validates Design reviews
  • Gives a quality answer (technical and financial) to tenders
  • Brings his technical expertise on bogies in different situations (development, failure, customer, suppliers…)
  • Ensures the quality of products definition and technical directions as part of businesses from the tender phase to the end of warranty
  • Takes part in the development of products and new technologies being proactive as regards bogies solutions as part of Alstom Transport strategic reflections
  • Carefully watches the different new technologies so as to possibly implement them


Are you this person?

  • Bachelor degree in mecanical engineering
  • Good knowledge and experience in mechanical design
  • Good capacity of synthesis
  • Analytic approach
  • Manager / Leadership / Autonomy / Team spirit / Rigorous / Stress-resistant
  • Oral and written English expression required
