Purpose of the Job

You are responsible of the site Logistics Engineering team.

 

You design, develop and put in place solutions to improve logistic flows meeting Quality Cost Delivery Environment Health & Safety (QCDE) targets in compliance with regional priorities (regarding material flow, storage, packaging, warehousing, transport and respect of ERP rules). You apply the best core practices to improve Logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for upstream method logistics for parts from supplier till point of usage.
  • Implementation of lost and returnable packaging solutions for inbound deliveries.
  • Improve warehouse architecture as per Alstom standard material flow and work on optimization of warehouse space,.
  • Eliminate conflict of flows and POKE YOKE system on kitting operations.
  • This position is also responsible for development and maintenance of PFEP (Plan for Every part).
  • Improve kit delivery to shop floor in line with global standards (Kitting trolley, Shadow boards) along with 2BIN management and bulk in- out strategy.
  • Contributes to the footprint needs with industrial team and drive action to implement material flow in line to future needs of manufacturing.
  • Drive actions put permanent fix to quality concern raised and ensure interim action are placed to avoid delivery impacts.
  • Returnable rack management and maintenance of kitting racks will be added responsibility.

 

Experience :

 

  • 10-12 years exp in SCM & warehoue operations.
  • Expert in CAD 2D/3D drawing , CATIA , Auto cad and Auto desk inventor 
  • Strong knowledge on layout planning and preparation of material flow in line with manufacturing sequence.
  • Deep knowledge in supplier end packaging design along with internal material workflows 
  • Strong negosiation skills for Safety / Quality / Cost with supplier and peers .

 

Education qualification:

BE  ( Mechanical ) with MBA in operations Managament will be an added advantage
