Overview:

Prepare and execute test and commissioning activities for signalling systems on field, in support to one or several projects

Manage, as a team leader, T&C technicians

 Specific responsibilities of the role:

  • Prepare and execute testing activities
    • in support to one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his / her hierarchy
    • according to the testing procedure / documentation and following Sub-system T&C Leader and / or  PrCOM instructions
  • Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting)
  • In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
  • Ensure follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports.
  • Check that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
  • Support V&V team and perform test in lab as per request
  • Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)

EHS & Environment responsibilities: 

•             Performs her/his activity according to his/her education and training, as well as to the instructions received from the employer, in such a way as not to expose to accidents or to occupational hazards either himself/herself or other persons that may be affected by his/her actions or omissions while performing her work.

•             Makes correct use of machines, equipment, tools, hazardous substances, transport equipment and other production tools.

•             Makes correct use of her/his PPE.

•             Does not shut down, modify, change, or remove randomly his/her safety devices, especially of machines, equipment, tools, technical installations, buildings, and uses correctly such devices.

•             Communicates immediately to the employer and/or to the assigned employees any work situation about which he/she has good reasons to consider it as danger for the health and safety of the employees, as well as any fault of the protection systems.

•             Informs his/her supervisor and /or employer about the accidents suffered.

•             Cooperates, as long as necessary with his/her employer and/or the assigned employees, to allow the employer to make sure that the work environment and conditions are safe and free of risks for health and safety in his/her field of activity.

•             Performs his/her activity in such a way as not to damage the quality of the environment and not to produce accidental pollution.

•             Respects the rules regarding the management of waste and chemical substances with which he/she comes into contact.

•             Respects and acquires the EHS-E Policies

•             Contributes to the achievements of the EHS-E Objectives in the area of responsibilities.

•             Participates to the improvement of the EHS-E system by signaling EHS-E deviations and monitoring their treatment in the area of responsibility.

 

 

 

Experience & Qualification:

  • Master's degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken)
  • Flexibility and mobility, available for short or long mission in different locations and countries
  • Available to work at night, during weekends and on public holidays
  • Rigorous & team player
  • Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve complex system failures
  • Customer satisfaction and results orientated
  • Able to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholders
  • Ability to use new technologies and tools
  • Driving license
