Could you be the full-time Project Manager for our new EMU 35 project in Bulgaria we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a dynamic and rewarding field. You’ll report to Roberto in Bucharest and work alongside his professional and dedicated teammates.
You'll manage and coordinate the execution of the EMU 35 project, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and customer expectations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, industrial, quality, and support functions), oversee subsystems-related activities, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of the EMU 35 project plan execution, but also provide operational support to the bid and project teams.
We’ll look to you for:
- Ensuring accountability for project QCDP (quality, cost, delivery, performance) performance and optimizing financial performance (sales and cash).
- Defining project strategy in line with contract requirements, including PMP elaboration and objectives allocation to subsystems (planning, cost, quality, performance).
- Leading and coordinating project activities and stakeholders from transfer to close-out, ensuring proper transfer from tender to project and defining project objectives to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Managing resources, including core team staffing and escalating when project resources do not match needs.
- Aligning key project stakeholders toward shared goals, engaging teams in the successful achievement of objectives, and synchronizing internal partners.
- Overseeing compliance with contractual requirements, managing variation orders, and handling claim and litigation processes if needed.
- Proactively managing risks, savings, and opportunities.
- Monitoring project progress and KPIs, reporting transparently to senior management during critical project reviews.
- Maintaining compliance with rules, instructions, and standards, including ethics, EHS, railway safety, quality, and the Project Management Manual.
- Managing customer and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring continuous alignment with contractual requirements, and representing Alstom toward customers and external stakeholders.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- University degree or a strong passion for technical fields.
- Experience in maintenance, production, infrastructure, signalling, construction, or turnkey projects.
- Familiarity with the railways industry.
- An IPMA certification is a plus.
- Five years of experience as a subsystem/component manager or qualified project manager.
- Experience working in and with multinational companies and across diverse business cultures.
- Bulgarian and English language knowledge is mandatory at advanced level.
