Could you be the full-time Project Manager for our Desiro 5-year maintenance project in Sofia we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You’ll report to Roberto and work alongside his professional and dedicated teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the execution of the Desiro 5-year maintenance project, ensuring it meets contractual requirements and exceeds customer expectations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, industrial, quality, and various support functions), lead subsystem-related activities, and ensure seamless project delivery.
You’ll specifically take care of executing the Desiro 5-year maintenance project plan and providing operational support to the bid and project teams, but also take the lead in strengthening customer relationships and ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
We’ll look to you for:
- Accountability for project QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Performance) performance and optimization of project financial performance (Sales & Cash).
- Ownership of the Project Management Work Package (WP) and accountability for all related activities.
- Defining project strategy in line with contract requirements, including PMP elaboration and objectives allocation to sub-systems (planning, cost, quality, performance).
- Leading and coordinating project activities and stakeholders from transfer to close-out, ensuring proper transfer from tender to project and alignment with project objectives.
- Managing resources effectively, including defining project core team staffing and escalating when resource availability does not match project needs.
- Leading and engaging project teams, including core teams and project managers of internal and external partners, to ensure alignment and achievement of goals.
- Proactively managing risks, savings, and opportunities, as well as handling variation orders, contract management, and claims if needed.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, instructions, and standards, including ethics, EHS, railway safety, and project management guidelines.
- Representing the project to senior management and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with customer expectations.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- A university degree or strong passion for the technical field.
- Experience in maintenance, production, construction, or turnkey projects.
- Familiarity with the railway industry.
- An IPMA certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a sub-system/component manager or qualified project manager.
- Experience working in and with multinational companies and diverse business cultures.
