Could you be the full-time Portfolio Engineering Leader in Sofia we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your analytical and organizational expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, adaptable, and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll lead an engineering team to deliver impactful results while fostering collaboration and innovation. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (design, software, installation, and testing), coordinate with external stakeholders, and ensure seamless project execution and continuous improvement.

You’ll specifically take care of guiding your team and managing engineering deliverables, but also ensuring effective communication and collaboration with contractors, customers, and consortium partners.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Setting clear team goals, delegating tasks, and establishing deadlines.
  • Providing support for project and program execution.
  • Coordinating design and interface activities, including identifying specific interfaces with legacy systems.
  • Preparing and presenting interface control documents to customers and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the approval process for route dependency tables and schematic plans.
  • Coordinating activities with contractors, customers, and internal teams on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Facilitating the submission and review of detailed designs, addressing findings, and ensuring updates are communicated effectively.
  • Participating in coordination and progress meetings with customers and consultants.
  • Supporting installation and testing teams with as-built designs and updates.
  • Drafting and submitting technical and safety-related documentation to stakeholders.
  • Contributing to process, methods, and tools deployment and improvement.
  • Fostering the collection and sharing of lessons learned (REX) from project execution.
  • Reviewing workload forecasts and staffing projects/bids accordingly.
  • Participating in tender design and documentation reviews.
  • Committing to project/program quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, science, or business management.
  • Previous experience in a complex development environment (e.g., railways, automotive, aerospace).
  • Engineering and processes background.
  • Experience in project/program execution and management.
  • Understanding of execution effort estimation.
  • Knowledge of Alstom platforms (or similar).
  • Experience in team management and leadership.
  • Involvement in projects with teams across regions and development centers.
  • Strong networking and collaboration skills.
