Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your production, management, and organizational expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside professional and dedicated teammates while reporting to Pavel in Sofia.

You'll manage and coordinate our operations for the BDZ - Desiro maintenance project within the Services product line in Bulgaria. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as business development, bids, project management, engineering, industrial, quality, and various support functions), offer support to our local teams, maintain the link with our central teams, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved through the execution of the production plan and the efficient management of resources, but also drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing a Production Team, including monitoring and controlling production on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Ensuring accountability for production is clearly defined and delegated effectively.
  • Identifying staffing requirements for budgeted fixed workloads while ensuring flexibility and high levels of productivity.
  • Managing organizational change to optimize working practices and ensure a productive workforce.
  • Identifying training and other resource needs to facilitate production in the most effective way.
  • Ensuring all production meets the safety and quality requirements of internal standards and customer specifications.
  • Monitoring working practices and the environment to ensure compliance with mandatory and statutory requirements.
  • Minimizing depot-operating costs and maximizing efficiencies through effective resource planning and production overtime control.
  • Reviewing work plans to ensure daily production targets are met and conducting analysis where targets are not achieved.
  • Proactively identifying areas for improvement based on production/service operation reports and customer feedback, and initiating actions to ensure improvements.
  • Managing relationships with sub-contractors and customers.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of processes by identifying and implementing changes to improve maintenance and operational practices.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • Preferable experience in fleet and/or maintenance operations and planning roles.
  • Technical knowledge of relevant traction and rolling stock.
