Could you be the full-time Buyer in Sofia, Bulgaria we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your purchasing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Adrian and work alongside dynamic, adaptable, and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in supplier selection, contract negotiation, and managing supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (procurement, project management, and engineering), provide support to commodity strategies, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of supplier performance monitoring, but also contribute to innovative sourcing projects.
We’ll look to you for:
- Supporting global supplier panel relationships
- Managing specific supplier panel relationships, including negotiations and performance monitoring
- Addressing initial supplier issues before escalation
- Consolidating commodity needs and contributing to commodity strategy development
- Representing commodities in tender phases and project discussions
- Coordinating projects with all relevant stakeholders
- Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with suppliers
- Leading project negotiations and monitoring key project performance indicators (KPIs)
- Applying the Alstom Transport Sourcing process and providing feedback for continuous improvement

- Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Specialization in purchasing is an advantage
- Fluency in English, with an international background being a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in the industry
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
