Experienced Rolling Stock Testing & Commisioning Engineer

Purpose of the Job:

The Test and Commissioning Engineer is responsible to perform the onboard testing to the following

1. Pre and Post modification verification to the APM100 vehicles (covering onshore and offshore testing when required)
2. DLP technical support on troubleshooting/rectification

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identifying problems and shortcomings with existing systems.
2. Monitoring progress, recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment and compilation of all documentation for inclusion in the site test dossier.
3. Perform the vehicle testing activities, to ascertain the behaviour or performance of the vehicle performance in line with the corresponding test specification inclusively routine, type and factory testing when require.
4. Ensuring that safe testing being carried out as per the product requirement within the project timeline.
5. Possess related LRT, MRT or rolling stock testing experience to perform the site testing work, this is including all vehicle subsystems.
6. Able to perform rectification work that arise during the testing phase
7. Strong innovative and analytical skill to perform onboard system troubleshooting and with fundamental knowledge on Railway Qualification Test with railway standard IEC 61133 or EN 50215.
8. Able to review the testing procedure and providing constructive feedback for test improvement, able to produce and update test and commissioning documentation and with Risk Assessment knowledge is added advantage.
9. To regularly provide testing update and report to the PI Manager, ensuring that the field data, configuration is well organised and feedback to the PI mangement System.
10. Implements and enforces site HSE requirement on site with the support of HSE team representatives.
11. Coordination and planning on the testing activities with the vehicle modification team and the DIS signalling team.
12. Upon completion of the test phase, the test engineer will require to involve in the warranty related activity.
13. shall identify deviations from expected results and record them in test reports
14. shall communicate deviations with relevant change management body for evaluation and decision.
15. Able to operate various test intruments e.g. oscilloscope, Multimeter, Meggering device, earth bonding device, power analyser, etc test equipment.

Relevant experience required:

Typically, minimum 3 – 5 years relevant rolling stock testing experiences
