Purpose of the Job
•    To organize and lead project Verification and Test activities to ensure the delivery of a complete, correct and accurate ATS Sub-System in line with Project contractual requirements: documents, HW, SW, Data. This includes the definition of the simulation needs.
•    To define, manage or execute the V-cycle activities (Validation, Verification) throughout the whole project life : Design, Factory Tests.
•    To support and follow the Site Installation and the On-site commissioning
•    Be in charge of applying the technical policy defined by the platform for ATS (if any).
•    Be in charge of applying the best V&V practises

•    The ATS project validator shall then ensure that all the requirements for the ATS Subsystem level, as defined in the ATSSyRS and translated into the ATS Subsystem Requirements Validation Table (RVT), have correctly been taken into account.
•    Prepares the specifications of the test procedures / scenarios to be run and their execution of ATS test bench
•    Run the test procedure and to record the associated test reports in the DVT 
•    Ensures that Factory testing (via various means) provides a full coverage to guarantee a correct implementation of the ATS requirements: functional requirements and safety requirements
•    Is responsible to validate the start-up tests (post installation) for sub system interfaces 
•    Issue the ATS Validation Test Report including:

  • the ATS Correspondence Test Report. To check the validity and consistency of interface data exchanged between various sub systems 
  • the ATS Performance Test Report (i.e. Robustness, Endurance, Redundancy...)
  • the ATS Non-Regression Test Report (validate the items that are modified/cancelled or new and ensure the correct functioning of the system) including impact analysis
  • the ATS Data Validation Report verification to ensure that the ATS sub-system data preparation process is correctly implemented 

•    Support the FIVP team when needed 
•    Support the V&V leader for V&V report redaction (especially for the restrictions analysis) and for planning consolidation.
•    Issue the reports following the process defined by the project and/or the department e.g. change request reporting etc

Educational Requirements

Engineering Degree

Desired Knowledge / Experience

5 years & +, first testing experience, preferably on industrial products having reliability or safety constraints.
Behavioural Skills / Competencies

Autonomous and proactive, reliable, pragmatic, problem solving attitude, team spirit
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to guide, influence and convince others, while working in an international & diverse organization;
Autonomous, you have the sense of emergency in order to define priority to deliver as per commitment.

Technical Skills & Competencies

Understanding of system and software architecture
Strong experience in design and deployment methodology (V cycle, SysML, requirement management)
5 years’ experience in software development in industrial environments,
Knowledge on Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) system, both operationally and functionally.
Good knowledge on signalling system
Knowledge of technical element linked to modern Railway Signalling (IP networks, embeded software, XML technology)
Rail industry background is highly desirable, alternatively similar industries can also be considered
Knowledge of railway signalling industry standards
