The Interface Manager shall be responsible for detail co-ordination of his design, works and construction activities with other System-Wide Contractors, developers, consultants, Operator SMRT and other contractors whether or not specifically mentioned in the Contract that may be working on or adjacent to the Site.

 

The Interface Manager shall note that there are other contractors, consultants, etc. who the Authority will engage from time to time with whom the Contractor shall have to similarly interface (Reference Schedule A2).

 

The co-ordination responsibilities of the interface Manager  shall include the following:

 

  • To identify and establish all the necessary interfaces and their requirements jointly and mutually with other Interfacing Contractors.
  • To provide all information reasonably required by the Interfacing Contractors in a timely and professional manner to allow them to proceed with their design or construction activities.
  • To obtain from the Interfacing Contractors information reasonably required to enable the Contractor to proceed with their design or construction activities in a timely manner.
  • To maintain close liaison with the Interfacing Contractors working in the area for the avoidance of interference between his work and the work of Interfacing Contractors. Where the execution of the work of the Interfacing Contractors depends upon the site management or information to be given by the Contractor, the Interface Manager  shall provide the services or correct and accurate information to enable the Interfacing Contractors to meet their programme or construction work.
  • To be the single point of contact on interface design and management with other Interfacing Contractors and the Engineer.
  • To attend co-ordination meetings convened by other Interfacing Contractors and the Engineer. To convene own meetings with Interfacing Contractors, where necessary, to clarify particular aspects of the interfacing requirements of the Works. The party who convenes the meeting shall prepare minutes recording all matters discussed and agreed at the meeting.
  • To ensure that all correspondences, drawings, meeting minutes, programmes, etc. relating to the Contractor’s co-ordination with the Interfacing Contractors are issued to all concerned parties
  • To co-ordinate with Interfacing Contractors to develop and sign-off the Interface Control Document (ICD) and Interface Data Document (IDD).
  • Acts within the boundaries of the contract to deliver the object of the contract to the customer and to deliver the targeted financial and operation outcomes to the company.
  • Leads sub-tasks within the Project Core Team to successful completion within schedule, allocated budgets and scope to the required quality.
  • Lead the project and cope with the unique challenge of continually focusing on a pro-active management that the functions keep their delegated budgets, meet their schedules and deliver on their obligation.
  • Full view of the project including areas outside own Value Chain Entity and the overall impact on AT performance.
  • Responsible to apply the key Project Management Processes and the applicable tools for the implementation, and is accountable for the strict and efficient application thereof.
  • Ensure all risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated. The Assistant Project Manager overseas all the documentation and administration processes of the project.
