Green Innovation Projects Intern

Objectives of the internship:

Within the Alstom APAC Innovation Station based in Singapore, support the green innovation leader in maintaining and developing the green innovation programm. This programm is a portfolio of innovations aimed at reducing the environmental impact of railway sector in APAC. Projects may include new technological solutions, innovative business models, or awareness and trainings tools.

Main responsibilities:

Support the green innovation leader in the management, evaluation and expansion of the green innovation programm. Responsibilities include:

• Conduct review of market maturity and customer interest in sustainability solutions, for the APAC region
• Prepare narratives, streategic pitches and customer approaches for ongoing projects 
• Identify emerging customer needs and potential new innovation topics
• Evaluate the current portfolio of innovations in terms of:
  • economical value/return on investment
  • environmental benefits, aligned with Alstom's sustainability KPIs
• Support the initiation and early-stage structuring of new projects

Competencies and skills:

• Currently studying engineering, sustainability, business, entrepreneurship, or a similar discipline
• Strong interest in sustainability, innovation, and green technologies
• A rigorous and detail-oriented approach to work
• Ability to structure market research and prepare strategic recommendations
• Good written and verbal communication skills, able to prepare high-impact pitches
• Ability to manage your own schedule and handle multiple activities in parallel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of environmental assessment methodologie is a plus (life cycle assessment, carbon footprint)
