Overview: The China & East Asia (CEA) Finance Controller will support CEA operations & Regional Finance team in data processing & controlling, controlling activities & perform specific diligence on sites upon request, and also support in tendering and project controlling activities.


Specific responsibilities of the role: 

1. Financial Controlling

Harmonize monthly closing process in CEA by working closely with site controllers to improve reliability, completeness and on-time delivery of reports
Support budget and forecast process on CEA perimeter
Respect and apply Alstom financial controlling and reporting processes, tools, procedures (General Finance Procedures)
Alert and refer to FD for complex and critical issues
Support controlling operations on sites upon requests (improvement on KPI reliability, implementation of procedures, etc.)
Perform financial analysis related to site facilities and activities and consolidated in monthly management review cycle

2. Reporting and Coordination

In charge of data collection, integrity and analysis for Region and Operation indicators
Consolidate financial data and costs according to Alstom procedures
Prepare financial report according to established format
Provides transparency of financial elements consolidated
May produce, monthly analysis and comments including the monthly consolidated presentation
Active involvement in process improvement and automation initiatives

3. Tender/ Project support

Tender Reviews for projects below 5ME
Consolidation of Project Review results as part of Early Warning to Periodic Closing process

Profile sought  

As a potential candidate for this role we expect you to bring 3-5 years experience in financial analysis, project controlling. High profile graduates could also be considered based on professional and academic results.
You understand and have experience working in a diverse, matrix organization and you are open to work with different countries and cultures in a complex Region. 
International working experience is highly preferred, in preference working with international projects in an industrial & and/or manufacturing environment   (Transportation, Oil&Gas, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Construction). 

Educational Requirements  

Bachelor or Master degree in accounting/Finance. Business School degree would be advantage.
Fluent verbal and written English required. It is highly appreciated if you also speak a 2nd language (French, Mandarin….).
Good knowledge of SAP and excel advanced functions.
