  • Support the execution of the APAC Region Communications Strategy.
  • Coordinate communications programmes across all business clusters in the region
  • Develop and manage all communications tools at a region level- Presentations, media briefings, audio-visual library
  • Manage the regional internal communications channels- Intranet, newsletter
  • Support the Region President in Singapore on communications deliverables

The APAC Communications Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of the communications strategy to promote Alstom’s image and support business growth in the region and to coordinate all communications actions that are transverse across the region. The responsibilities are primarily on internal communications but may call upon support on media relations and event management as required. 
The role oversees many aspects of communications and so requires a confident self-starter, able to manage senior stakeholders, work autonomously at times and use their initiative to lead issues and generate strategies.

The role encompasses:

  • Liaison with all the country communication heads to manage the region communications calendar
  • Manage the region intranet and the region newsletter.
  • Develop & manage all region communications & CSR tools- Presentations , audio-visual library, region information on the internet
  • Managing the follow up of the region budget with clusters and finance
  • Act as deputy to region head to manage all Region President communications initiatives in Singapore
  • Support in the development and execution of the communications strategy for China ( within APAC scope)
  • Manage Region president presence and activity on LinkedIn
  • Manage all transverse projects across the region e.g. Site rebranding
  • Support all region functions in pan-region communication programmes

The incumbent should demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization. The role calls for strong presentation and project management skills. 

EDUCATION :  Bachelor of Communications/ Marketing discipline


•    5-6 years post-qualification experience in communications and events management
•    Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and Mandarin (written and spoken)
•    Proficient in excel, powerpoint and the various digital media channels
•    Strong project management skills
•    Hands-on and motivated by challenging work
