ATS Validation and Verification Engineer




Thomson–East Coast line (TEL) is a medium-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore that is currently under construction, being the sixth line to be built. The line was announced on 15 August 2014 by the Land Transport Authority.  The fully underground line is 43 km long and consists of 31 stations, 2Operation Control Center (OCC), 2 Depots, and will be among the world's longest driverless rapid transit lines. The line will open in five stages from 2019 onwards and will be operated by Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT).

Under T252 contract, Alstom will design, supply, install and commission the signaling Urbalis 400 Communications-based train control (CBTC) system and platform screen doors for Thomson Line. TEL is a complex and challenging project for which Alstom as System Wide Contractor (SWC) needs to interface with other 29 SWCs, 35 Civil Works and 5 A/E consultants.





You will be part of the Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) department supporting the validation and verification ATS topics for the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) project. You will organize, plan and manage test campaigns to reach project objectives.

You will be a key member of the project team to contribute to the success of the delivery of this complex Signaling TEL project. The position is located at our Singapore office.






  • Design and develop test procedures matching software requirements and test documents
  • Prepare the testing platform for the different tests
  • Set-up test preparation and tools associated
  • Executes test campaigns according to the relevant procedures / protocols
  • Recommends priority and severity levels on problems faced
  • Manages the technical status of test platforms
  • Validates ATS deliveries
  • Contributes to defining workload estimate
  • Reports progress of work
  • Understands product objectives and content
  • Supports team members and activities executed on testing platform or site





  • University engineering graduate or equivalent;
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to guide, influence  and convince others, while working in an international & diverse organization;
  • Autonomous, you have the sense of emergency in order to define priority to deliver as per commitment.




  • 1-3 years & +, first testing experience, preferably on industrial products having reliability or safety constraints
  • Understanding of system and software architecture
  • Having references in software C++/C# development, software validation and document verification
  • Knowledge on SQL database
  • Experienced on some test tooling environments: test campaign management, requirement management and change request tools, test automation
  • Experienced on transport signalling  systems is a plus
