INTRODUCTION
Thomson–East Coast line (TEL) is a medium-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore that is currently under construction, being the sixth line to be built. The line was announced on 15 August 2014 by the Land Transport Authority. The fully underground line is 43 km long and consists of 31 stations, 2 Operation Control Centres (OCC), 2 Depots, and will be among the world's longest driverless rapid transit lines. The line will open in five stages from 2019 onwards and will be operated by Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT). A complex and challenging project, Alstom will design, supply, install and commission the signaling Urbalis 400 Communications-based train control (CBTC) system and platform screen doors for Thomson Line.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Develop and deliver the Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) Subsystem in line with the Project Roadmap and as agreed with the ATS project leader
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With the ATS Leader, define and agree on the ATS Development roadmap that needs to be delivered as per project needs.
- With the ATS Leader, manage the Project ATS Development activities for intrnal products / modles and project deliveries for customer, ensuring inline with process abd QCD commitments
- Lead analysis of the issues and defect identified during factory validation and site testing.
- Support testing and investigations at site and validation platforms.
- Ensure technical coordination; between different internal teams and customer,
- Ensure correct design choice is made and reviewed with Design Authority
- Apply and contribute to improvement of the Development processes, methods & tools as defined by the Methods and Tools organization
- Organize the ATS Design Reviews
- Support ATS Leader & ATS Project Verification & Validation (V&V) Leader to define the best Product validation policy and strategy
- Manage ATS Project Requirements: ensure the traceability of the project requirements and ensure that each ATS module requirement has been addressed by V&V through the whole development cycle
- Manage ATS Configuration, Change Management and deliveries: establish and maintain the configuration baselines, perform configuration reviews, lead the Control Board (CCB) with the ATS Leader
Qualifications & Skills:
EDUCATION
- Master or Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a major in computer, electronics or telecom
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience in design and deployment methodology (V cycle, SysML, requirement management)
- 8 years experience in software development in industrial environments,
- Strong knowledge on Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) system, both operationally and functionally.
- Good knowledge on signalling system (interlocking, ATC and ATS),
- Knowledge of technical element linked to modern Railway Signalling (IP networks, embeded software, XML technology)
- Rail industry background is a must
- Knowledge of railway signalling industry standards
