We are seeking a highly motivated Innovation Intern to join Alstom Singapore’s Innovation Station. You will work directly with the Innovation Leader for 3D Printing to support ongoing initiatives in Additive Manufacturing (AM), Digital Innovation, and Operational Excellence across Alstom’s manufacturing and maintenance activities.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world industrial innovation — from idea generation and prototyping to process improvement and program coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Innovation & Additive Manufacturing (50%)

Support development and testing of 3D printed components, materials, and prototypes.

Assist in preparing business cases, data analysis, and reporting for AM projects.

Help document and standardise 3D printing workflows and digital manufacturing processes.

Conduct market and technology research on sustainable materials, digital workflows, and new AM applications.
Operations & Program Support (30%)

Coordinate activities between internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors.

Support planning, progress tracking, and reporting for innovation programs.

Help organize workshops, demos, and internal communication for innovation initiatives.
General Innovation (20%)

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to idea development across Alstom’s five innovation pillars:
3D Printing, Immersive Mobility, Smart Mobility, Green Mobility, and Healthier Mobility.

Assist in developing presentation materials, dashboards, and visuals for management and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Business, or a related field.

Strong interest in innovation, 3D printing, and digital transformation.

Good analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with 3D modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) is a plus.

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
