Your Future Role

 

Our Siegen site is an international competence center for bogies. 800 colleagues develop, manufacture, test, and repair bogies for global rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to [HIRING MANAGER] and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

 

We’ll look for you to:

 

As a Supplier Quality Serial Engineer you will apply and deploy Serial Supplier Quality Assurance policy in collaboration with Procurement, you will perform inspections for low-critical parts and manage quality performance of assigned suppliers.


•    Responsible for Non-Conformity day-to day management.
•    Invoice the Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ S1) to the suppliers.
•    Secure in a timely manner strong and complete supplier containment actions plan to secure the Manufacturing line. 

•    Challenge our suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plan, challenge reactivity. 
•    Set up and manage Supplier improvement roadmap for non-performing Suppliers according to Supplier Quality escalation process (Green/ Yellow / Red status).
•    Organize reviews with suppliers and visit suppliers’ premises as necessary.
•    Ensure performance of inspection for low critical parts (parts non-included Supplier Part List).
•    Collaborate with SPQD, SQ Serial Engineers and Incoming Inspectors to ensure Control Plans are defined and registered in the ERP system.
•    Initiate outside special process inspections or outside lab testing when required.
•    Maintain and publish KPIs and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
•    Incoming Inspection team competencies management through skills matrix and scheduling trainings when required.
•    Complete inspections within allocated target lead time and ensure priority inspections are completed on time.
•    Manage Incoming Inspection activities when appointed SQ Referent for the given site.

•    Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering or equivalent.
•    Familiar with supplier qualifications standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.).
•    Fluent in English and German. 

•    1 to 3 years’ experience in Quality, Production.
•    Knowledge in a technical field.
•    Experience managing supplier relationships is a plus.
•    Experience using SAP or similar computer applications and 8D Methodology.
•    Collaborative, persuasive and resilient.
