Supplier Quality Project Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Siegen / Germany
 

Purpose of the job: As Supplier Quality Project Engineer you are the Interface between the projects of your site and the SPQD (Supplier Product Quality Development) teams of regions/domains.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate to Supplier Part List (SPL) creation and updates all along the Projects (could be DOC3/DOC24). Contribute to SPL standardization & optimization.
  • Upload the SPL in SQP (Supplier Quality Portal Tool) & share the vision of coming developments for his projects/site/cluster.
  • Consolidate Supplier Quality needs associated to products development for new projects and give visibility to SPQD shared services. Is responsible for ensuring supplier quality activities by SPQD for any SPL or DO3/DOC24 modifications during projects serial life.
  • Ensure the adequation of the SPL maturity versus the expectations of DFQ (Development for Quality) milestones
  • Participate to gate reviews of DFQ for external sub-systems and ensure the Supplier Quality contractual documentation readiness before quotation stage and their integration in Quality Specifications
  • Drive the deployment/application of Quality action plan agreed during Business Award
  • Follow the SQ activities progress and report the global SQ vision of ongoing developments for purchased parts to the project core team
  • Collect and challenge the blocking points of purchased parts developments with SPQD and Project core team. If needed, escalate the projects risks identified to project core team and quality management.
  • Contribute to the customer interface under the lead of Project Quality

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering or equivalent.
  • Min. 5 years of experience within the manufacturing industry or in a Quality role or in a Project role
  • Familiar with supplier qualifications standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.)
  • Able to read supplier contracts
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Experienced managing supplier relationships
  • Experienced using SAP or similar computer applications
  • Knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA, control plan, QRQC, 8D, Quality Wall, etc.).
  • Expertise in Supplier Quality processes at product & process development & execution phase
  • Leadership skills, ability to communicate with business partners
  • Able to manage a Team remotely and to work in a Regional Organization
