Could you be the full-time Local Special Process Coordinator for Casting in Siegen we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your casting process expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Micha Barth (Special Process Site Manager , Siegen), and work alongside dedicated and passionate teammates.
You'll specifically coordinate the industrial control of the Special Processes (SP) during tender phase, product development, industrialization, manufacturing and warranty.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business such as logistic, procurement, quality and engineering departments.
We’ll look to you for
- Contributing to tender phase, especially in product design and industrialization to take into account industrial constraints and requirements in order to optimize costs and minimize risks.
- Contributing during specification and design phases to technical solution decisions associated to special processes.
- Building the SP REX and interact with product engineering to redirect the design if necessary.
- Managing industrial risk through Process FMEA and associated improvement action plan.
- Defining requirements and rules for associated tooling necessary to start production.
- Qualifying the product/process pair as well as industrial means to be put in place in line with the design.
- Supporting sourcing and SQD teams in the suppliers’ qualification and in quality follow up for suppliers concerned by SP. Contribute to development of local suppliers.
- Managing evolution of quality control process dedicated to SP.
- Ensuring deployment and validation of new processes in line with project planning
- Issuing relevant documents in the Quality System.
- Managing technicians that are eventually under his responsibility.
- Performing Transfer of Technology on SP: documentation, process and means validation, training.
- Training the workers and EPU managers to execute SP.
- Ensuring continuous training and permanent qualification of the workers to SP.
- Training support functions to business rules linked to SP (Engineering, PME, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality)
- Guarantying internal control and good application of process rules in line with customers’ requirements.
- Support in conducting internal and external audits.
- Ensuring day to day monitoring of SP business rules and solve issues concerning SP.
- In case of non-conformity or incident, investigate root causes, finds and implement repair solutions.
- Demonstrating QCD and EHS improvement linked to SP through efficient action plans. Measure performance linked with site industrial objectives and through APSYS audit for instance.
- Supporting Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams during quality crisis.
- Participating to meetings and working groups of the SP network.
- Proposing improvement ideas and evolution of the business rules of their domain.
- Releaseing or blocking of products and/or supplier based on performed FAI’s and audits
- Implementing supplier approval and process audits at suppliers
- Selecting and defining of foundries as suppliers
- Reviewing of casting technologies and production concepts also in coordination with ENG
- Optimimasing and improving of casting processes at suppliers
- Verifing and preparing the test scope description, preparing of corrective measures and result documentation, status reports
- Preparing of defect analyses, continuous production inspection, correction of manufacturing processes in cooperation with the casting suppliers
- Training of employees in casting evaluation and casting defect evaluation
- Supporting all Alstom sites for the above casting topics

- Technical education
- Engineering degree in process engineering, mechanical, electrical or chemical.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in industrial method
- Practice the special process in question from 2 to 5 years (execution, definition, qualification)
- Training and Qualification by a third party for SP if need be
- Is officially recognised as expert by the Central Special Process coordinator
- Able to read, write and speak English and German
- Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
- Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA, ecc)
