What are my responsibilities?


The DCS (Data Communication System) is one of the core subsystem of a metro signaling solution, as it supports the communication between involved equipment (train on-board equipment, wayside equipment). It is made of a backbone network (wired) on the wayside and dedicated wireless communication network (mainly Wifi or LTE) and it shall supply a high reliability and performance in order to ensure proper operation of the overall system.

The ATC subsystem is another core subsystem which implement most of the logic related to automatic metro driving (driverless).

You will support the metro signaling project teams in China to support the deployment, operation and troubleshooting of the DCS (as a priority) and you may be involved on ATC subsystem engineering topics. You will work closely with both Alstom experts and CASCO teams (local partner in China) to coordinate problem solving and optimize system performance.


You are responsible for:


- To assist CASCO DCS subsystem manager for DCS Design and validation.

- Assist local project teams for DCS configuration, T&C (test and commissioning), to ensure proper deployment and high performance on site.

- To review DCS test procedures and DCS test reports

- To inspect DCS installation on site and draw recommendations

- To lead CASCO DCS teams for troubleshooting activities

- To monitor system performances

- To coordinate with Alstom teams in France to ensure timely deliveries and reactive troubleshooting assistance.

- To catch the full picture of signaling system, and proactively collaborate with other subsystems teams, especially ATC Engineering teams.

- You may be involved in the troubleshooting of other subsystems, especially ATC subsystem, and in the improvement of the signaling system design in general.


What do I need to qualify for this job?


In this role, you are expected to build effective working relationships across different teams in an international environment. Besides technical competencies (telecommunication engineering background is strongly preferred), you need to have a determined and pugnacious nature to actively push open actions to their closure.



Minimum Qualifications:


- Engineering Master degree

- Degree or experience in the field of telecommunications

- English working level


Preferred Qualifications:


- 2 years professional experience

- International experience

- Fluent French would be a strong “plus”

- Knowledge about urban railway signaling business
