What are my responsibilities?

As component validation  Engineer , you will work in a test team which belongs to  engineering department , report hierarchically to Validation Manager.

You are required to be responsible of overall Component Validation activities (during both development phase and operation phase) in accordance to QCD commitment.

Your responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the component validation activities within the Engineering team (DA and Validation Team) 
•  Lead CBC discussion with suppliers and “PrEM/System Design Authority”
•  In charge of technical discussion with components suppliers for all technical topics including but not limited to: validation plan, test specifications, procedure and reports, RAM and Safety documentations, Eco-design file … 
• Responsible to deliver the component validation note when all technical requirements have been fulfilled 
• Provide Component Technical Specification when required
• Provide Component Test Specification and report for internal testing in Alstom
• Witness and/or Attend component type test on supplier site or 3rd lab if necessary
• Actively participate in component application troubleshooting / problem solving 
• Capitalize the return of experience and knowledge sharing with the engineering team
• Propose way of improvement (quality, lead-time, cost reduction …)
• Support project team for all test and validation requirement
• Provide Technical support for supplier Audit and FAI (first article inspection)
• Actively support (on a technical side) the Sourcing roadmap 
• Apply Strictly Alstom design principle and relevant standard (EN/IEC/…) criteria
• Be accountable for EHS (including AZDP status) rules strict application for himself and others working under his supervision
• Ensure no deviation to E&C rules Apply Strictly 

What do I need to qualify for the this job?

• Engineering background
• Good communication, accountable, self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Fluent Spoken and Written English.
• Good knowledge of office software.
• Can regular use the measurement device, such as oscilloscope

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in electrical or related engineering field

Minimum qualifications：

•  Minimum 2 years experiences in validation of electro-technical components or similar 
• Railway experience is preferred

Preferred qualifications

• Traction System knowledge preferred
• Electrical and mechanical domain background is plus
