MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

  • To manage the commodity / supplier strategy to fulfill the requirement of Transport global supplier panel and development roadmap
  • Supplier development: start & raise business with already homologated & identified suppliers
  • Scouting New Suppliers + Regional Marketing Investigation.
  • Follow Sourcing standard process with using the relevant methods and tools.
  • RFQ Management: from RFQ release to Business Award, Contract Sign, through Project Execution till Warranty Expiration.
  • Ensure Technical Clarification between Suppliers and Technical Expert during RFQ stage also ensures Product Development Technical Clarification during PO Execution Period.
  • Strong Cost analysis ability(TCO) while tender phase
  • Continuous improvement plan (QCD responsibility on orders placed in China)
  • Coordination with stakeholders such as quality, project team to secure the overall sourcing plan
  • Work with European Site buyer for LCC project, RFQ, PO, FAI, Mass production, Payment follow up
  • Communicate with Central CM weekly for projects follow up and new projects introduction

 

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering degree..

 

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Above 5 years’ experience of sourcing development for direct sourcing.

 

 

 

Desirable:

Above 3 years experience of sourcing development of metal  material or previous supplier development and management

Competencies & Skills

  • Good negotiating skills, project management skills and supplier management skills
  • Must have strong drive and initiative to continuously promoting global sourcing and cost improvement
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a changing environment with a sense of urgency
  • Good English communication skill is a must.  French speaker would be a plus.
  • Have a good team work spirit and work under pressure.
  • Able to travel frequently
