Your future role

 

We are looking for a Fleet Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Seven Kings Depot to offer innovative solutions that contribute towards growing the reliability & performance of the Class 720 Aventra fleet, while also optimising the maintenance to reduce costs.

 

Take on a new challenge at Seven Kings and apply your engineering experience in an exciting modern project! You’ll report to the Maintenance Engineering Lead, and work alongside a dedicated and passionate engineering team. There will also be opportunities to extend your network to activities involving engineers from other Aventra projects (including London Overground and Elizabeth Line).

 

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Supply engineering resource/skills to support tenders and projects.
  • Collaborates with Services Engineering and Platforms,  to improve the Services portfolio of products and services.
  • Participates actively in the Services Engineering network.
  • Assures the technical support to the projects.
  • Work closely & effectively with other functions / stakeholders both inside and outside of the project
  • Detects, defines and implements the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability, in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
  • Proposes innovative solutions and develops and implements R&D programs and new technologies in the maintenance projects.
  • Analyses the technical performances of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them.
  • Participates in the 8D & REX processes.
  • Analyses and integrates data coming from Operations (Return on Experience) and fleet data tools.
  • Quantifies & identifies methods for reducing risk

  • University degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent/relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of rolling stock equipment (both hardware and software)
  • Knowledge of rolling stock maintenance
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Experience in the use of AI tools to enhance output
  • Problem solving capacity (technical and costs evaluation of a solution)
  • High Interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
