Train Control Engineer (TCE)
Purpose of the Job
He/she manages the development of all Train Control Management Systems (TCMS) deliverables (sub-system, electrical and software work products) for a Project from offer, specification, design, release to end of warranty period or during the maintenance phase.

Responsibilities
Accountable for:
- Managing the development of all TCMS deliverables (functional studies, Subsystem, electrical and software work products) for assigned project. He/she shall manages exported constraints coming from TCMS pack, including Safety Related Application Condition (SRAC).
- Collaborating with Validation Team to validate the TCMS Development, Configuration and the Management Plan application.
- Achieving the specified software quality requirements detailed in System Engineering and TCMS Software Quality Plan.
- Managing the design planning and the achievement of the Design reviews in all steps of the Design For Quality cycle
- Delivering all TCMS Engineering outputs including, TCMS RSADs, Software specification or Functional Design Description FDD, Software, Electrical Schemes and Electrical Products definition (with the support of Electrical Lead Engineer), in compliance with the Engineering Quality Cost Delay commitments.
- Managing interface and ensure follow up of sub-systems interacting with TCMS.
- Ensuring standardization and maximize the carry over with previous project.
- Supporting Commissioning and Validation area during Train Integration Tests.
Responsible for:
- Formulating a design solution that fulfils the specified customer requirements by defining the architecture and performances of the TCMS subsystems and functional studies you are responsible for, maximizing the re-use of service-proven design patterns.
- Monitoring, control and consolidate the TCMS work package and ensure the reporting activities to the Project Engineering Manager of the project.
- Defining the applicable TCMS configuration (low voltage scheme, apparatus, and software version) with the Train System Engineer, Project Engineering Manager and its team.
- Contributing to the return of experiences on their domain (Software, Schematic)
Educational Requirements
Engineer degree or Master of engineering from University or Engineer school.
Experience
Hands-on experience in design & development of model based control systems using application tools like Matlab / Simulink, Control Build or similar tools.
Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial, Ethernet, MVB and other industrial communication network.
