The Intern will support the Digital Transformation Team in Sesto San Giovanni Site (MILANO):

 

Internship Objectves

 

Service 4.0: Group of projects that aim the digitalization of the business processes, covering the End to End flow of Alstom’s maintenance activities.

The student will join APSYS (Alstom Performance SYStem) team, to develop and implement a digital board to be used during the 5 minutes daiòy meeting. He/She will play a key role acting as a bride between Alstom’s Central Team (Paris) and Italian team.

 

  • Work close to the APSYS leaders to digitalize Team Boards at depot and bringing at one place latest information about facility / EHS routines / KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost)
  • Ensure that those boards are always available at shop floor and instantly updated 

  • Ensure that the boards improve the efficiency of 5 minutes meeting with direct feedback from line side to Control rooms / Offices
  • Ensure that all the data is collected correctly in Qlik application
  • Create documentation and train End Users

 

He/She will participate in other project, such as data extraction automation from SAP or PRTG implementation to monitor network’s performance. These last projects will be better defined depending on the availability and the skills of the candidate.

 

Lean how to deploy a digital project and and manage the change management related to a new process / application.

Support the Italian team in the construction and implementation of a digital board and ensure that this new tool improves the efficiency of 5 minutes meeting, by being the maximum expert of the new tool.

 

Lean Principles and support the production to be more aligned with this principles (Learn how to identify needs and how to solve them using digital tools).

 

Education Required

 

Degree in Engineering (Management, Industrial, Computer Engineeering, Mechanical, etc.)

 

  • Fluent English written and spoken mandatory.
  • Expertise in MS Excel and knowledge of VBA coding.
  • Other coding experience would be a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of MS Power BI would be a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of PRTG would be a significant advantage.
  • Pro-activity, synthesis, empathy, mitigation, resilience in moving environment, sense of Support.
  • Able to produce training documents and perform training session. 
  • Able to define the requirements, quantify the business benefits and manage the change management related to a new process / application.

 

Technical Skills Required

 

  • Usage of  SAP, MS Power BI, Qlik, PRTG
  • Business analysis
  • Lean Methodology
  • Understanding of tool in order to interface with IS&T
  • Understanding of Industrial Processes.
  • Knowledge of General Railway & Service Businesses to interface with Métiers
