PURPOSE OF THE JOB : 

 

  • Ensure that Supplier(s) allocated has the right appropriate Supply Chain Maturity and adequate capacity to meet Alstom’s demands
  • Support the Supplier(s) to build establish and drive improvements based upon the audit results and associated action plan
  • Contributes to have key Supplier Relationship KPIs in positive trend (On Time In Full, Parts Availability, Right Capacity)
  • Be the Single point of Contact for all Supply Chain Inputs for Business Awards

 

MISSIONS : 

 

  • Perform a Full Supply Chain Audit (FSCA) for the supplier as per organizational defined frequency detailing the output of the audit (pass/fail) and develop in conjunction with the Alstom internal stakeholders and the supplier robust action plans.
  • Perform a Capacity Assessment once in each quarter to validate that the supplier is able to meet Alstom’s global demand.
  • Drive improvement actions stemming from these audits/assessments
  • Advise and influence the Procurement Commodity Strategy
  • Contribute to Supplier Delivery risks assessment & Management before any Business Award.
  • If Supplier is designated as “Crisis Supplier”, Support the Crisis Management team on Capacity de-bottlenecking and Capability improvement actions.
  • Train and develop new SDPM at sites-help them qualify as FSCA Auditor and CA Auditor.

 

MAIN TASKS : 

 

Anticipation Mode

  • Perform a Full Supply Chain Audit (FSCA) for the supplier as per Organizational defined frequency

In case the Supplier fails the FSCA, prepare an action plan for improvement jointly with the Supplier.

Monitor Supplier’s commitment to the action plan and intervene/escalate if at risk.

  • Perform a Capacity Assessment once in each quarter to validate that the supplier is able to meet Alstom’s global demand

In case the Capacity assessment indicates risk, prepare a mitigation plan jointly with the SD Manager, engage with the Global demand management team to prioritize allocation in Short-run and align with CM for long term risk-mitigation

  • Provide inputs of Supplier Delivery risks before any Business Award for all projects.
  • Advise and influence the Procurement Commodity in the definition and execution of the procurement commodity strategy.

 

 

Execution mode

  • For Suppliers designated as “Top Worst” or “Top Offender for Supply Chain”, conduct a root causes analysis to understand  reasons for non-performance.
  • Define and follow up action plan to improve Supplier Delivery performance in collaboration with Material Planning Manager
  • Lead Resident program when required

 

  • If Supplier is designated as “Crisis Supplier”, Support the Crisis Management team on Capacity de-bottlenecking and Capability improvement actions.

 

General scope

  • Train and develop new SDPM at sites-help them qualify as FSCA Auditor and CA Auditor.
  • Participate to APSYS roadmap development and standards deployment
  • Provide inputs for continuous improvement of the assessment procedures and tools  & test all new tools and change requests.
  • Respect Alstom EHS policy and targets achievement
  • Respect Alstom Ethics & Compliance codes

 

Frequent travels required for the position (minimum 60% of the time) – Domestic and international 

 

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCIES :

 

Educational Requirement :

Mandatory :  Graduated from Technical and/or Supply Chain Engineering degree. Master’s degree level or equivalent

Desirable : Supply Chain or Lean Management certification.

 

Experience :

Mandatory : 

  • Must be either Alstom FSCA Qualified or have adequate experience in Lean Management projects in an industrial site.
  • Should have prior experience of performing audits
  • Should have worked at least 5 years as an Supply Chain/Quality/Industrial Process Auditor.

Desirable:  Worked as an SDPM in an Alstom site or any mass production industries (e.g. railway, aeronautical, automotive)
