For Platforms we are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic RSC Regional Platform Program Manager at Savigliano site in Italy

 

Purpose of the job:

Located ideally in the TDS and reporting to the Platform Products Director, Program Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Drive the execution of the Program Development to fulfil the QCDT objectives of the Program (Program requirements/deliverables) according to Platform/Region, Market expectations and as agreed/committed at PAB.
  • Maximize the results with respect to R&D Investment and Economics whilst delivering on cost/time, in conformity with Alstom program management and execution processes

 

Main responsabilities: 

Be accountable for the program Execution and Financial performance (R&D/Sustaining Expenses):

  • Deploy program execution (Target Cost approach and Cost Management, PXO, Functional organization, Monitoring) in line with Product Range Management plan including objectives allocation to metiers/PU (time, cost, quality)
  • Support the first applicative projects of the program - to ensure that the product/project governance is applicable and applied leading to a leaner Project execution.

Be responsible for the program management and governance:

  • Manage Program Review Board (PRB) for the execution part (status, variance, key decision management) and lead to the Program Review Board (PRB) for Quality Cost Delivery Time (QCDT) management and risk of development activities.
  • Contribute to Platform/TDS Reviews as far as the Programs concerned for Regular Report to RSC Platform
  • Implement decisions from internal governance of the product development with Product Chief Engineer, Manage “integration review”, scope change control board and major QCDT impact with Platform/Region project team
  • Make sure that key program stakeholders are aligned towards program goals.

Coordinate overall program activities of its portfolio and stakeholders from development to project execution:

  • Continuously monitor and manage program core team staffing, as well as Work Package (WP) resources which is led by the nominated WP owners.
  • Engage program teams in the successful achievement of program objectives, visual management and strengthen relationships among them Secure a Safe team environment and a balanced workload.

Program performance indicators:

  • Earn Value Management (EVM) : Product Total Cost (RC, NRC, LCC), GM on orders and sales
  • Gate review Go on time / DOT- GR
  • EHS when applicable

 

Mandatory Experience: 

  • At least 5 years’ experience as Program/Engineering manager in railway/automotive/aircraft or equivalent industry
  • Engineering background including project deployment experience
  • Cost, Design to Cost and planning control experience
  • Products and services knowledge

  • Business and financial acumen (Return on investment, decision making…)
  • Agile communicator with the ability to influence decision makers and build consensus with teams
  • Interpersonal skills (teamwork and leadership)
  • Risk assessment & opportunities and ability to anticipate and mobilize team to reach objective
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Business fluent in English language is a must
