For Platforms we are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic RSC Regional Platforms Product Configuration and Change Manager at Savigliano site in Italy
Purpose of the Role
The Product Configuration and Change Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and evolving the product configuration baseline throughout the product lifecycle. This role ensures robust change management, configuration control, and traceability from pre-tendering through project execution and sustaining phases. The Product CCM acts as the guardian of product integrity, ensuring that all changes are controlled, documented, and aligned with business, technical, and customer requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration Management
- Establish and maintain the product baseline as the base Configuration Item List.
- Ensure the consistency and integrity of the product baseline across all lifecycle stages (As-Offerable, As-Sold, As-Built, As-Required, As-Designed, As-Administered).
- Oversee the handover of As-Built configuration to Service teams.
- Maintain digital continuity and traceability between engineering, industrialization, and service
- Change Control
- Lead and coordinate Product Change Control Boards (CCBs).
- Ensure all changes are properly assessed, documented, and implemented in accordance with governance processes.
- Support risk assessment and mitigation planning related to configuration and change management.
- Detect Change intentions at eary phase on Product, tenders and projects in order to ensure timely assessment in CCB.
- Actively support the Project and Service CCBs to ensure no uncontrolled deviation from the product referential or from what has been sold.
- Lifecycle Support
- Support pre-tendering, tender, project, and sustaining phases by ensuring configuration and change management deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with Product Directors, Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on configuration and change issues.
- Participate in product maturity evaluations and gap assessments, engaging actions to fill identified gaps.
- Process & Tools
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of configuration and change management processes, methods, and tools.
- Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to internal and external standards, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and reviews related to configuration and change management.
Required Competencies & Skills
- Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, change control processes, and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
- Experience with digital tools for configuration management (e.g., PLM4A, DOORS, PLEiADE).
- Understanding of engineering, industrialization, and service integration.
- Analytical & Organizational Skills
- Ability to analyze complex technical and organizational issues, synthesize information, and propose effective solutions.
- Rigorous attention to detail and discipline in applying standards and processes.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Excellent stakeholder management skills; able to work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, industrialization, and service teams.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate CCBs, document changes, and ensure alignment across teams.
- Change Leadership
- Proactive in driving change, anticipating risks, and ensuring robust governance.
- Capable of supporting a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation.
- Project Management
- Experience supporting projects through all lifecycle phases, from pre-tendering to sustaining.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
