Overview:

The V&V (Verification and Validation) area at Alstom is essential for ensuring that railway systems and components meet quality, safety, and performance requirements before implementation. In this position, the intern will support verification and validation activities, including conducting functional and non-functional testing, risk analysis, and process documentation, collaborating multidisciplinary with engineering and operations teams. The goal is to ensure that our products deliver reliability and safety, contributing to excellence in mobility and transportation.

 

Specific responsibilities of the role: 

  • Verification and validation of hardware components and systems used in railway solutions.
  • Preparation and execution of test plans.
  • Documentation of results and analysis of compliance with specified requirements.
  • Collaboration with hardware engineers and other disciplines to resolve issues.
  • Continuous improvement of V&V processes by providing suggestions based on observations made during testing.
  • Participate in the development of products for internal process automation in the V&V (Verification and Validation) area.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the integration of technological solutions.
  • Document processes and configurations performed.
  • Report progress and results of testing and automation activities.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Competencies:
    • Students of Computer ScienceElectronic Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with expected graduation in December 2026 or later.
    • Understanding of electronic principles and hardware systems.
    • Skills in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and block diagrams
    • Basic Programming concepts, preferential languages – C,C++, C#, Python and Javascript 
    • It will be a differentiator if you have a technical degree in electrotechnics.
    • Analytical and synthesis skills.
    • Effective active listening and communication skills.
    • Strong teamwork abilities.

 

Language skills:

  • Native/Advanced Portuguese
  • Intermediate English

 

Previous experience – Not required.
