Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your safety assurance expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, detail-oriented, and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety of our signalling projects and products, contributing to a safer and more efficient railway system. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project teams, customers, consultants, and internal/external Independent Safety Assessors), manage and support Safety Assurance Engineers, and ensure compliance with safety standards and processes.
You’ll specifically take care of performing safety analyses (e.g., Preliminary Hazard Analysis, System Hazard Analysis, Hardware Analysis) and preparing Safety Demonstrations, but also managing safety activities to meet quality, cost, and delivery commitments.
We’ll look to you for:

Conducting safety analyses and preparing Safety Demonstrations, including Safety Cases and Safety Reports.

Defining and tracking safety requirements to control railway safety risks.

Supporting the Project Quality & Safety Manager in Safety Design Reviews and Safety Authorizations.

Taking the role of Safety Leader for designated projects to assess and manage safety issues.

Managing and mentoring RAMS Engineers, when applicable, to meet project objectives.

Applying Alstom's Railway Safety processes and instructions to projects and programs.

Proactively assessing designs to identify and mitigate railway safety risks.

Contributing to the improvement and definition of RAM and Safety processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience or understanding of signaling systems and safety assurance processes.

Knowledge of safety analysis techniques (e.g., Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Hazard Logs).

Familiarity with CENELEC Standards: EN 50126, EN 50128, and EN 50129.

An advanced level of English; Spanish is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Proactive mindset with strong organizational and communication skills.

Leadership abilities, including experience in coordinating activities and guiding teams.
