This opportunity is not related to EHS (Environmental Safety and Health) metier.
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your safety and risk management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside proactive and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our signalling projects and products while driving compliance with safety standards and regulations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project teams, external and internal Independent Safety Assessors, customers, and safety consultants), manage safety activities, and provide technical support to Safety Assurance Engineers, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of safety analysis at various levels (system, subsystem, wayside equipment, onboard equipment, hardware, and software), but also manage safety demonstrations through Safety Cases or Safety Reports.
We’ll look to you for:

Performing technical safety analyses such as Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), System Hazard Analysis (SHA), and Hardware Analysis.

Defining and transferring safety requirements to mitigate railway safety risks and tracking them to closure.

Supporting the Project Quality Manager during Safety Design Reviews and Safety Authorizations.

Acting as a Safety Leader to address safety issues and ensure their resolution.

Meeting quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives.

Applying Alstom’s Railway Safety Processes and Instructions to projects and programs.

Providing proactive design assessments to define technical solutions for railway safety risks.

Participating in the improvement and definition of safety processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, System, Computer, Automation, Mechanical Engineering.

Desirable knowledge of signalling systems and CENELEC standards (50126, 50128, and 50129).

Experience or understanding of safety analysis and risk management.

Knowledge of electronics and railway systems (beginner to experienced level).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a rigorous and detail-oriented approach.

Ability to work autonomously and collaborate within a team.

Proactive mindset with a sense of urgency and anticipation.

Advanced English proficiency; Spanish is a plus.

Willingness to travel sporadically.
