Could you be the full-time Cost Engineer in São Paulo we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your cost estimation and analysis expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.

You'll make a tangible impact by supporting the engineering team in optimizing design-to-cost processes and ensuring cost-effective solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, sourcing, and innovation departments), provide cost breakdowns to support negotiations, and propose improvements to reduce technical costs, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Realizing an estimation of the technical cost of parts/systems defined by the engineering team

  • Supporting the engineering team in the design-to-cost way of working

  • Participating in the creation of target costs

  • Applying or developing methodologies to calculate the technical cost of a component/system along the product development cycle

  • Applying or developing cost analysis methods on components/systems

  • Proposing improvements in design or manufacturing processes to reduce technical costs

  • Promoting cost culture within the engineering team

  • Providing detailed cost breakdowns and support sourcing negotiations


All about you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience in costing engineering (design-to-cost methodologies), innovation departments, or electrical engineering

  • Understanding of cost estimation and analysis methodologies

  • Familiarity with product development cycles and manufacturing processes

  • A proactive mindset for identifying cost-saving opportunities

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Fluency in English; French is desirable

  • Willingness to travel as required

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) and CAD tools (basic), preferably Catia.
