Could you be the full-time Engineer for Network & Telecom (N&T) in São Paulo we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your advanced network engineering and telecommunications expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and dedicated teammates.

You'll lead the technical responsibility for the N&T subsystem, ensuring seamless integration, high performance, and adherence to quality processes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (cybersecurity experts, installation teams, system engineers), oversee the development of design specifications, manage technical issues, and ensure compliance with project milestones and documentation plans.

You’ll specifically take care of designing the Backbone Transmission Network (BTN) and managing its implementation, but also contribute to installation studies, configuration, and Return of Experience (REX) consolidation.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Elaborating BTN design specifications (Preliminary and Detailed Design) in line with N&T Engineering rules and best practices

  • Ensuring quality processes are followed in BTN design elaboration

  • Minimizing BTN deployment cost, lead time, and risks through design optimization

  • Developing BTN design requirements with a focus on dimensioning and cybersecurity

  • Managing technical issues, change requests, and gaps related to BTN

  • Participating in functional validation, installation, testing, and commissioning activities

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field

  • Solid command of network engineering and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NTP, and QoS

  • Knowledge of optical infrastructure, backbone architecture, and wireless technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz)

  • Experience with monitoring systems like Zabbix, and basic Linux system administration

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark

  • Understanding of network security configurations (e.g., Firewalls, VPN, ACLs)

  • Experience in project documentation, network architecture development, and requirements management

  • Desirable: familiarity with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), scripting (Bash or Python), and railway telecommunications and signaling interfaces
