Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management and technical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, collaborative, and dedicated teammates.

You'll lead the engineering team, managing resources and aligning with business and regional needs according to central engineering guidelines. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (procurement, process engineering, R&D), driving co-engineering initiatives, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of executing engineering Rolling Stock projects, managing tender activities, and driving improvement programs. You will also develop on-site engineering staff, including succession planning and competency matrix deployment.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Organizing and managing the Engineering Team in line with business needs and engineering guidelines

  • Executing engineering Rolling Stock projects and activities according to QCD commitments

  • Performing engineering activities for tenders and managing workforce according to project forecasts

  • Driving co-engineering with process engineering and co-development with suppliers

  • Pushing improvement programs and applying common processes for continuous improvement

  • Supervising key technical decisions and monitoring project-to-cost programs in engineering

  • Managing the engineering cost center and supporting innovations

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field

  • Experience or understanding of project management, risk and opportunity management with over 5 years of experience

  • Knowledge of Rolling Stock and its components with over 10 years of experience

  • Familiarity with engineering processes, tools, and methods

  • A certification in project management or leadership

  • Strong leadership and people management experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Good financial understanding and the ability to make value-driven decisions

  • Fluency in English, Portuguese is desirable
