Overview

Execute and coordinate Reliability-related activities, looking for optimization by proposing the the best cost-effective alternatives through trade-off analyses and reasoning. Performing statistical and engineering analyses.

Specific responsibilities of the role:

The responsibilities of this role are:

  • Carry out Reliability calculations, predictions, verifications, statistical estimation, produce plans and reports;
  • Analyse wiring/schematics diagrams, simulate failures and study the consequences;
  • Analyse deratings on components and equipment;
  • Perform technical Reliability activities on Projects, Tenders and Development of Products, by applying the Reliability Process, Methods, Standards and Guidelines;
  • Make Design, Maintenance and Operational recommendations to meet Reliability targets;
  • Defend choices in front of customers and/or internal teams;
  • Support the Reliability Monitoring process during Operations & Maintenance phase and issue KPIs;
  • Work on Continuous Improvement, by supporting the creation of integrated systems;

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Behavioral competencies (soft skills): Hands-on, fast learner and self-learner professional. Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Strong analytical problem solving &  communication skills. Proven team player and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues from different backgrounds, functions and cultures, working with cross-discipline teams and communicating with customers and partners. Multi-task professional. A result focus with a ‘sense of urgency’ to achieve the results in the required timescale. Good organisational skills Accepting responsibility for action/lack of action – as appropriate & being accountable for them. The ability to work successfully in a team and network within the company & industry. Strong communication skills. Ability to work on own initiative. Team Player.

 

  • Technical competencies (hard skills):
    • Good knowledge on electrical /electronic hardware;
    • Electronics at board level, troubleshooting;
    • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics;
    • Eletrical and Telecommunication systems;
    • Able to carry out statistical analyses, inferential and descriptive statistics;

 

  • Previous experience: Desirable experience on electronic hardware development or electronic hardware repair, analysis, electronic boards component level hardware analysis, production or analysis of electrical/wiring schematics, preparation of troubleshooting guides, execution of analyses of failures (cause and effect), root cause analysis.
  • Language skills: English language required for reading, writing and conversation. Spanish is a plus.
  • Travel required: No.
