Overview

The IXL (Interlocking) area at Alstom is essential for the development and implementation of signaling systems that ensure the safe and efficient control of railway traffic. This team is responsible for ensuring the coordinated operation of tracks, signals, and crossings, preventing collisions and enhancing overall transport safety. We are offering an internship opportunity in the IXL area, where the intern will have the chance to work on challenging projects, contribute to the production of technical documentation, and collaborate on the configuration and design of electrical circuits and Boolean logic under the guidance of experienced engineers. This position is an excellent opportunity to acquire valuable skills and be part of an innovative team in a dynamic and growing environment.

Specific responsibilities of the role

• Responsible for producing technical documentation in accordance with project requirements, quality processes, and international standards.

• Design and configure electrical circuits, interlinked Boolean logic, and equipment specifications with the support of experienced engineers.

Competencies

• Ongoing Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Software, Electrical, Electronic, or Automation – to be completed by December 2026.
• Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office and AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of programming languages;
• Will be a plus if you have knowledge in Ladder 
• Good communication skills.
• Strong teamwork abilities.

Language skills

• Portuguese Native/Fluent
• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​English intermediate as minimum requirement.
• Spanish will be a plus
