Specific responsibilities of the role: 

 

 

 

  • Manages the implementation of the LSA process in order to conduct LSA studies and provide contractual LSA deliverables on projects
  • Manages the extended project LSA team in case of complex projects requiring large LSA staffing
  • Identifies and monitors constantly workload forecasts for the LSA activities she/he is in charge of and secures adequate staffing of project ISR teams
  • Manages the development and synthesis of customer requirements in compliance with applicable reference libraries
  • Develops and implements the LSA management plan for the project(s) he/she is involved in
  • Executes the LSA studies and provide LSA deliverables along the life of the project phase with respect to the LSA management Plan
  • Monitors Planning, cost and quality of the LSA content in line with the LSA management Plan and provides corresponding reporting to new build projects, LSA domain lead and local ISR management
  • Coordinates with other Métier or Function teams within new build projects for the implementation of the LSA process and smooth interface management
  • Validates Service commitments from suppliers in Sourcing conducted Business Awards
  • Ensure continuous challenging of supplier commitments (deliverables, costs, LCC performance commitments, planning) during project execution with escalation to sourcing/commodity managers where necessary
  • Ensure coordination/consolidation of contributions from key stake holders (External supplie, ISR representatives in Participating Units/Compo sites) towards achievement of the LSA objective with LCC performance focus
  • Ensure permanent consistency of the various components of the ISR package (Spare parts consumptions, spare part prices, maintenance documentation etc…) supporting achievement of the LCC performance
  • Provide active support to ISR project leads to the preparation and conduct of the ISR Design Reviews and ISR work-package reviews for the LSA part
  • Produces LSA KPI dashboard in line with Central/Service Platform guidelines with a priority focus on LCC
  • Ensures the achievement of life cycle cost commitments in compliance with the product selection and project assigned targets using escalation routes as appropriated
  • Ensures production of REX reports on LSA upon completion of ISR work-package execution, with a focus on updating the applicable ISR Reference Library, identifying needs for process improvements, and proposing possible best practices to be adopted.
  • Ensure ad-hoc production of the LSA content for ISR QCD commitment on tenders, if required
  • Coaches/supervises the integration and ramp-up of LSA Junior engineers in the extended ISR team

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Competencies

Mandatory:

Engineering University Degree or equivalent

 

Desirable:

Knowledge in Service Engineering and Maintenance (Master ISR specialization)

 

  • Previous experience

Mandatory :

Technical knowledge on maintainability aspects, ideally on Railways applications

Minimum 3 years experience on engineering roles on projects (RS, D&IS, System & Infrastructure)

 

Desirable:

Experience in Rolling Stock Maintenance, or in Signalling or Infrastructure Maintenance (in case of D&IS resources), and ideally of operation within a maintenance contract.

Experience in Customer interfacing

Experience in Supplier management

 

  • Skills

 

Language : English (fluent)

Self-motivated, Quick Learner and strong team player.

Railways technical knowledge on maintainability aspects

Ideally, knowledge of the main ISR Elements applicable to Railways

Project Stakeholder management (Internal) and minimum customer interface ability

Good organizational and communication skills with customer interfaces.
