Overview

 

Specific responsibilities of the role: 

  • More than 4 years experience in project or bid area. Minimum 2 years as a bid manager;
  • Experience on signalling systems on rail market;
  • Experience in international bids and openness to multi-cultural environment
  • Vision of the 2 markets: transportation and information (customer expectation, technology breakthroughs, competition, business model)
  • Business oriented
  • Financial result-oriented
  • Strongly process-oriented
  • Key Knowledge Areas:

* Good understanding of technical/engineering issues, contracting, finance, product specifications, with at least 4 years experience within an industrial project team environment.

* Team management: to be able to liaise & motivate internal and external partners
* Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
* Good understanding of commercial risks (financial, legal, political...).

* Risk analysis skills & methods.

* Good level of abstraction to understand complex problems involving several technologies

* Understanding of and successful experience of working in a multi-cultural environment

* Understanding of and experience of working in a matrix organisation

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability/stability
  • Credibility
  • Negotiation skills
  • Imagination and curiosity, as well as rigour and discipline (stick to deadlines)

 

Educational requirement: Engineering Degree (Master equivalent or above) in one or more of the following fields: Telecom, Electrical, Electronics or Automation.

Language skills: Fluency in English. Spanish advanced.

Behavioural competencies: Effective active listening and communication skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, reliability/stability, credibility, learning fast, quick understanding of new technologies, focus on simple solutions to complex problems, focus on cost of solutions, negotiation (internal or with customers), Planning and Organising

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational requirement: Engineering Degree (Master equivalent or above) in one or more of the following fields: Industrial Computer science, Telecom, Electrical, Electronics, Automation.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English. Spanish is assets.
