PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Electro-mechanical covers products made of electrical motors, electrical contacts and safety mechanical kinetics such as point machines and level crossings.
  • Delivers studies, drawings, Bill of Material and technical documentation for Track switches and overtravel buffers, products with high level of safety. (with the support of Engineering team in Thailand)
  • Delivers studies, drawings, Bill of Material and technical documentation for Wind Speed Detection device. (with the support of the Engineering team in Poland)

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Key accountabilities:

  • Leads specific design from pre-study until industrialized design;
  • Define Technical Specification on minor developments for Externalized activities;
  • Is accountable for design documentation release (assembly and detailed drawings, Bill of material, schematics, technical reports with the support of the engineering teams in Thailand & Poland);
  • Participate to planning follow-up in collaboration with Product Architect, Design Authority and Platform Engineering teams;
  • Defines mock-ups design and follow its manufacturing and validation;
  • Collaborate to prototype assembly and fine tuning and collect design return of experience
  • Participate in integration of the product with electrical and mechanical Interfaces;
  • Provides all necessary information for safety analysis;
  • Collaborate with Life Cycle Team to ensure the whole products documentation updating;
  • Participates to the Finite Element Method process evolution due to software new releases and return of experience;
  • Propose the manufacturing technology solution for every single component and validate the solution during Co-Engineering sessions with Industrialization;
  • Is involved as technical expert in case of customer service needs (return of experience);
  • Collaborate with Electromechanical Acceptance Team to define the Validation Test Plan;
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew;
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of electromechanical Métier processes.
  • Coordinate the interfaces between the local engineering team (SIF Consortium) and the engineering teams of the platforms (track switches and overtravel buffers in Thailand - wind speed detection in Poland).
  • Coordinate the technical interfaces between the engineering teams of the Track Switches, Overtravel Buffers and Wind Speed Detection platforms with the other subsystems (internal and external to SIF).
  • Coordinate the technical interfaces between the engineering teams of the Track Switches, Overtravel Buffers and Wind Speed Detection platforms with the customer representatives.
  • Follow up on the fulfillment of the engineering milestones of the subsystems under his/her responsibility.
  • Technical review and validation of engineering documents issued by the platforms in Thailand and Poland.
  • Follow-up of deliveries, factory tests, shipment and delivery on site.
  • Technical support to the Project Manager of the subsystems under his/her responsibility.
  • Support and follow up the installation and on-site tests of the subsystems equipment under his/her responsibility.
  • Delivery of periodic progress reports for follow-up, identification of deviations and establishment of action plans to mitigate/eliminate potential risks to the fulfillment of the project delivery objectives within the cost, time and quality committed to the client and approved by the organization.
  • Coordinate the on time delivery of the As-Built Drawings upon completion of the installation and test phases of the subsystem equipment under his/her responsibility.
  • Provide technical support to the new tenders and/or Variation orders.

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements Describe the minimum educational requirement/level

Mandatory:

  • Graduated from Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
  • Solid knowledge for MS Project, Primavera, Autocad, Excel, Word, Power point software
  • English speaking and writing must be fluent

Desirable:

Experience Describe the knowledge and experience required for this role

Mandatory:

  • Experience of mechanical design office

  • Signaling or railways background
  • Field (installation or workshop)
