Could you be the full-time Project Planning Manager in Barcelona we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project planning expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.
You'll serve as the central connector of project interfaces, steering execution through robust scheduling and proactive coordination. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Manager / Chief of Development, Chief of Operations, Senior Project Planning Manager (PrPM), and contribute to the return of experience (REX) and improvements, share best practices, schedule templates and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of developing and maintain the project schedule.
We’ll look to you for:
• Supervise Subsystem Quality Inspectors and manage interfaces with the Customer representative for the sub system in scope.
• Guide the installation team in understanding Quality & Safety contributions to the project.
• Establish, implement, validate and update Quality Installation Control Plans and QC forms according to contract requirements, Alstom processes and REX.
• Ensure control of quality documents/records on site and that teams work with the latest versions of Control Documents, Method Statements, ITPs and IFC drawings.
• Ensure proper traceability and records for monitoring and measuring devices.
• Lead Site Quality Animation and deploy a right first time mindset.
• Prepare Sub System Punch Lists and Outstanding Works Lists, supporting PrQSM in criticality assessment.
• Lead continuous improvement and problem solving activities (8D, QRQC, REX) to reduce non quality costs.
• Provide quality awareness and organize quality training for installation teams.
• Support installation teams in self inspection and delegation of control.
• Support PrQSM in driving DfQ processes, readiness reviews, GR evidence collection and forecasting.
Quality Assurance / Quality Control
• Accept or reject products as defined in work instructions; stop installation activities when necessary.
• Perform, participate in or delegate Site Quality inspections (Alstom or subcontractors).
• Perform or participate in customer joint inspections.
• Prepare inspection reports and document results in the relevant tools.
• Manage NCRs: issue reports, perform first characterization, record in tools, and follow up until closure.
• Ensure follow up of Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and closure of reserves.
• Coordinate subcontractor Inspection Requests in alignment with PrQSM and the Project Team.
• Ensure customer approval and document validation before final acceptance.
• Participate in Internal and External Hand Overs (construction, installation, T&C, Customer).
• Support PrQSM in reporting KPIs, identifying improvements and raising safety alerts.
• Support SQ/Sourcing with supplier NCRs and quality control of supplied installation materials.
• Support 4M preparation and project audits (internal/external).

- Master’s (or bachelor’s with experience) degree in engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical, civil work…)
- 3-5 years’ experience in equipment installation and T&C
- Experience in managing Quality and problem-solving tools.
- Technical mastering of railway products.
- Experience in operational activities and in documentation control.
- Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM...).
- Knowledge of problem-solving tools (QRQC / PDCA / Root cause analysis tools...)..
- Fluent in English
