Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive and specialized expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead and inspire to enhance the performance of the Engineering department, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of locomotive mechanical activities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including property management, transportation, and technical staff), implement and oversee automated maintenance programs such as SAP and Maximo, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:

Directing and supervising the mechanical department to ensure equipment reliability and efficient property management,

Administering supervisory and technical staff to guarantee quality and timely maintenance operations,

Serving as a liaison between customers and Alstom to provide quality service,
-
Supervising, hiring, and coordinating work activities of direct reports to align with budget and operational goals,
-
Ensuring the timely delivery of equipment to customers to maintain uptime availability,
-
Reviewing and authorizing the purchase of supplies, services, and equipment,
-
Ensuring all jurisdictional specifications, standards, and regulations are followed and communicated to the team,
-
Promoting a culture of safety, resilience, and continuous improvement within the team.

Experience in Locomotive Mechanical and/or Locomotive Electrical Maintenance/Troubleshooting,

Familiarity with Title 49 CFR and passenger rail industry regulations,

Knowledge of asset and fleet management, staff scheduling, and automated maintenance programs such as SAP, ORACLE, GSI, MAXIMO,
-
Strong communication and leadership skills,
-
Understanding of FRA and DOT regulations (preferred),
-
Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or Business Administration (preffered),
-
Classroom Facilitation and/or Training experience in an adult education environment (preffered).
