Your future role
"Take on a new challenge and apply your Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and proactive teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of people and the environment by implementing and maintaining robust EHS measures at the project level. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as HR, project management, and social/medical partners), monitor compliance with statutory and company requirements, and oversee EHS risk assessments and emergency plans—and much more."
We’ll look to you for:

Ensuring EHS Risk Assessment is done and appropriate measures to control risks are defined for the Project and Projects. ,

Preparing, implementing, and maintaining emergency plans at the Project level. ,

Making sure activities of sub-contractors are under control with respect to EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operational areas. ,
-
Exercising full authority to stop any operational activity resulting in immediate high risk to People or the Environment. ,
-
Assisting, coaching, and assessing the EHS teams in the project and projects. ,
-
Involving social and medical partners and communicating with them about EHS. ,
-
Supporting EHS project staffing, delivering EHS support during project execution, and performing audits of EHS plan implementation during the execution phases of projects. ,

Ensuring that Alstom EHS standards and tools (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP), Transport Operational Performance in Environment (TOPE), and Alstom Key processes) are deployed at the Project level. ,

Monitoring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual, and company requirements and proposing actions to correct any gaps. ,

Preparing and submitting monthly EHS reports, feeding the EHS reporting system in line with Group reporting requirements, and being accountable for the data quality of the Project and associated projects."

Degree in EHS, Health and Safety, Management, or other related field (or equivalent experience). ,

Experience or understanding of Environment, Health & Safety management, including risk assessment and compliance monitoring. ,

Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards. ,

Familiarity with local legal requirements and regulatory frameworks. ,
-
Health & Safety certification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation (when required). ,
-
Strong communication and coaching skills to engage with teams and stakeholders. ,
-
Ability to develop and implement training and communication plans. ,
-
Resilience and adaptability to manage multiple projects and priorities. ,
-
Analytical mindset to investigate incidents, assess risks, and propose corrective actions. ,

Leadership skills to drive EHS initiatives and ensure compliance with Alstom standards.
