You'll play a key role in ensuring efficient procurement processes, driving supplier performance, and contributing to the success of our projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Cluster/Country Procurement Directors, Commodity Managers, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality teams), manage and develop your team, and ensure compliance with Alstom’s procurement policies and processes.

You’ll specifically take care of managing supplier quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) performance, but also support project execution and profitability through strategic procurement practices.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Facilitating and managing a high-performing procurement team while ensuring compliance with Alstom’s Code of Ethics.
  • Motivating, inspiring, and developing team members in a multicultural environment to enhance their competencies.
  • Collaborating closely with Global Procurement teams to deploy global strategies and create synergies.
  • Driving continuous improvement within the local buyer team through APSYS Procurement practices.
  • Managing supplier QCD performance and resolving major issues to meet objectives.
  • Supporting commercial and contractual negotiations during project execution phases.
  • Tracking procurement performance in projects and implementing action plans for deviations.
  • Analyzing risks and setting appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Supporting supply chain objectives, including monitoring raw material inventory and on-time delivery (OTIF).
  • Collaborating with quality teams to address non-conformities and improve Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ).
  • Coordinating with accounting teams to align on invoice accounting and payable days.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as APSYS or Lean principles.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) performance management.
  • A certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
