PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Implement, animate and improve the Warranty Quality function applicable to all Product Lines within a or several Regions interfacing with the PI community

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

Performance Measurement

  • Availability and consistency of PI/Warranty expenses for key projects => WBA KPI
  • Availability and consistency of RG data for key projects => RG target achievement KPI
  • Availability and consistency of K1, K2 and K3 with respect to RG for key projects
  • Correlation between Reliability Growth and PI/Warranty Expenses
  • K1, K2 and K3 Management with Suppliers during Commissioning & Warranty Phase
  • Return of Experience of PI phase with respect to critical projects
  • Assessments of PI governance processes
  • DFQ (Development for Quality) Gates with respect to PI/Warranty and their look-ahead accuracy
  • Timely analysis and reports of any WQ task upon request

 

Responsibilities

  • Support Head of Warranty Quality Group with consolidation of reports and KPIs (if requested)
  • Support proper PI expenses collection, follow-up and analysis at Region, cluster, country PI level
  • Support investigation of important PI cost anomalies
  • Review monthly Warranty Budget Adherence and Evolution KPI at Region, cluster, country PI level
  • Animate Regional PI Manager (PrWM) network and liaise with Regional PrQSM network
  • Drive collection of Reliability Growth (RG) data and reports in close collaboration with RAMS
  • Support establishment and follow-up of RG target achievement KPI in close collaboration with RAMS
  • Drive establishment of K3 management at local level and support PI Manager (PrWM) for critical K1 & K2
  • Drive critical K1, K2 or K3 with suppliers in support of Supplier Quality Warranty (if requested)
  • Ensure consistency between Top Reliability Growth issues and existing K1, K2 and K3 on critical projects
  • Support ramp-up of projects with respect to RG and Warranty expenses (if requested)
  • Support escalation process in case of Quality alerts with respect to warranty
  • Deploy assessment process and plan of PI governance adherence in collaboration with Global and Local PI Function
  • Ensure regular and proper DFQ look-ahead for PI relevant Gate Reviews, in particular FQA
  • Ensure Return of Experience of the PI phase for relevant projects via PI Managers (PrWM)
  • Support optimization of Return of Experience from warranty phase towards Engineering by Development Quality

 

End-to-end performance:

  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction; Warranty closure and Warranty Budget Adherence by driving efficiently PI and Quality processes aligned with PI and Quality Function

 

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Equivalent of MSc in Europe, BSc or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering

 

Desirable:

  • MSc in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Basics in Engineering & RAMS
  • Basics in PI/Warranty, Test & Commissioning or Service
  • Basics in Quality

 

Desirable:

  • Several years in RAMS
  • Several years in Quality PI/Warranty, Test & Commissioning or Service
