The Train Design Department of Rolling Stock & Components Paris Saint-Ouen is looking for a Train Architecture Manager.

 

Your mission:

 As Train Architecture Manager, you are in charge of the train mechanical definition, from the specification to the industrial documentation.

 

You are responsible for the physical architecture of the train (including electrical, pneumatic, etc.) and the integration of sub systems.

 

As the guarantor of the train's mechanical requirements, you work with the project manager and the various players involved in all decisions related to its design.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Define the train architecture, including the convergence of style with its technical definition (weight, gauge, installation strategy, acoustics, eco-design, ergonomics, aerodynamics, aeraulic)
  • Distribute and verify the requirements corresponding to the above-mentioned areas
  • Transfer the design to the subsystems, consolidate the design, including the structure of the digital model.
  • Support industrial integration
  • Carry out corrective actions after the first assemblies and type tests, until the end of the warranty
  • Manage the main layouts and integrate the following expertise contributions: lighting, passenger flow, ergonomics, fire-smoke, and so on.
  • Prepare and document design reviews in accordance with the project schedule and follow up on major open actions
  • Define action plans related to identified risks on the mechanical perimeter
  • Analyze and consolidate the impacts of change requests on the Train Design
  • Report on the progress of Train Design activities, anticipate problems (capacity, skills, applicability of rules, and so on) and alert if necessary

Your profile:

Mechanical engineering preferably applied to railway products with 5 to 10 years’ experience in the mobility industry:

  • Rolling stock architecture
  • Integration of complex subsystems

Good communication and interpersonal skills, including with third parties.

Time management skills and sense of priorities.

Customer and product orientation.

Structured and organized with a hands-on approach.

English in reading/writing/speaking for technical meetings.
